HOCKEY/RINGETTE SKATING SKILLS PROGRAMS

           **All skaters must register with ASC in order to be insured while on the ice. **

 

 Ajax offers 2 levels of programs with each program being a 50 min session for those that wish to improve their skating skills for Hockey or Ringette playing. 

1) Beginner Program (Tuesdays) is for skaters that are 7yrs & up and who play House League through to "A" players.

2) Advanced Program (Thursdays) is for skaters that are currently playing "AA" and "AAA" hockey and Ringette. Also, skaters must have registered for this program previously.

 
 

 This program is for those ages 7 yrs of age or older that are already involved in hockey/ringette programs and wish to improve their skating skills.  If your skater does not meet our minimum requirements we ask that you sign up for one of our CanSkate sessions to learn the basic skills in order to qualify for this program.

 

Equipment Requirements: 

 

All participants must provide their own CSA approved hockey helmet and hockey stick.  Additional hockey equipment is not requried, but skaters are encouraged to wear it.

For sanitary reasons we do not rent equipment nor do we have extra helmets if one if forgotten. 

All participants must have EQUIPMENT;

  • Must have your own equipment including skates.
  • THIS IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT - a CSA-approved HOCKEY HELMET  required by all levels from PreCan up to and including stage 5,
  • full face shields are strongly recommended.  No other types of helmets permitted.   
  • Wear warm clothing which allows ease of movement. Jeans are not permitted.
  • THIS IS A MANDATORY REQUIREMENT - wear warm mittens or gloves.    

 

Sessions are priced according to number of skating days, and adjusted for all Exception Days (holidays, competitions, tournaments, etc.)

Important note

By registering online all skaters/parents agree to all ASC policies, Skater’s Code of Conduct and Athlete’s Release as outlined in the online waiver prior to registration.
Schedule is subject to revision based on skater registration should the ASC Board of Directors deem necessary.  
 

Requirements /Policies

  • No Make ups for Missed Classes: Skaters sign up for a specific session and cannot be accommodated on another session if they have to miss a day for any reason.
  • Cancelled Classes: ASC cannot make up a class or provide a refund if there is a cancellation due to severe weather or other circumstances beyond the control of ASC.
